Where are the Hijama Dates obtained?

Lunar dates are obtained from moonsighting.org.uk. Subject to moon sighting. On this website we only display the days of 17th, 19th and 21th of the Islamic lunar months.

When can Hijama be perfomed?

According to the Hadith: Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever is treated with cupping on the seventeenth, nineteenth or twenty first (of the Islamic lunar months), will be healed from all diseases.” Reported by Abu Dawood, 3852. The isnad is hasan. In case these days fall on a Wednesday then it is NOT allowed to perform Hijama at all (even at night).

Which days is Hijama allowed and which days prohibited?

One will benefit most from Hijama on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are only allowed when one sick or there is dire need. Prohibited is Hijama on Wednesday (even night) at all.

How long does a Hijama day last?

A Hijama day starts after Maghreb on previous day (eg. 18/06/2014). Before the next Maghreb ends the Hijama day (eg. 19/06/2014).

What are the meaning of the icons on the upcoming dates?

Dates with are most to benefit from performing Hijama. Dates with are allowed for performing Hijama if needed due to sickness. Dates with are NOT allowed to perform Hijama.
